Noku docs

Noku is an early preview of a flip-based duel arena on Solana. The idea is simple to say and hard to master: two sides, one 5×5 board, 45 seconds, and whoever holds more tiles at the end takes the round. This page explains exactly what runs today and what is still a plan.

Rules of the Flip Duel

A sample board: blue tiles on the left, coral tiles on the right
  • The board has 25 tiles. You start with one tile on the lower half; the bot starts on the mirrored tile. The seed picks which pair.
  • You may flip a tile that touches one of yours (up, down, left, right) and is not yours already. With no tiles left, you may restart anywhere.
  • After a flip you wait 0.5 s. A freshly flipped tile is guarded for 2 s and cannot be flipped back.
  • Pincer: when your new tile and another of yours enclose a single unguarded rival tile in a straight line, it turns to you too.
  • The clock moves in steps of a tenth of a second. Your move on a step is applied before the bot's.
  • Score is the number of tiles you hold at the end. More tiles than the bot is a win, equal is a draw.

The 45-second length and the 5×5 size are the first design target. This preview lets you try them as they stand; they are not final and may change after testing.

Duel rooms

A room code holds a bot level, a 128-bit board seed and a short title. Opening it gives every player the same start tiles and the same bot decisions for the same moves, so you and your friends can compare runs fairly without being online together. Each room has its own board of best posted scores. A new daily room is derived from the date, so everybody shares one seed per day.

Signed and replayed scores

  1. With a wallet connected, starting a round asks the server for a ticket: seed, time, wallet, level and room, sealed with a server key. Tickets last 20 minutes and can be used once.
  2. During the round only legal moves are written to the log, as pairs of step number and tile.
  3. To post, your wallet signs a readable message naming this site, the action, a hash of the exact payload and a one-time nonce. It is not a transaction.
  4. The server checks the signature, the ticket and the clock, replays every move with the same engine, and only stores the score if the replay matches.

Entries keep the best round per wallet and expire after 30 days without a better one. Posting is capped at 60 scores per wallet per day. A wallet must hold a small amount of SOL to sign a write, which keeps throwaway wallets from flooding the boards. You can remove all your entries and your card at any time from the profile screen.

Live today, and planned

  • Live: the Flip Duel against three bot levels, duel rooms by code, the daily room, the open board, room boards, player cards, badges, local history and profile, live Solana data.
  • Planned: real-time duels between two people, tile skins and arena looks, community events and seasons, any role for $NOKU inside the game.
  • Never: stakes, entry fees, prizes paid in tokens, or anything that turns a round into a bet.

FAQ

What is Noku?
Noku is a tile flip duel game on Solana. In this early preview you play 45-second rounds on a 5x5 board against a bot, share duel rooms with friends by code, and post scores that your wallet signs and the server replays. There is nothing to stake and nothing to win.
How does Noku work?
Both sides flip tiles that touch tiles they already own. A flip has a half-second cooldown, a fresh tile is guarded for two seconds, and a single rival tile caught between two of yours turns too. When the clock ends, the side with more tiles wins. The whole round is a seed plus your list of moves, so anyone can replay it.
Is Noku a coin flip or a gambling game?
No. There is no random winner, no bet, no entry fee and no prize. The same rules bind you and the bot, and results come from where and when you flip. The bot's small random choices come from the round's seed, so a replay always gives the same result.
How do I buy $NOKU?
Use a Solana wallet such as Phantom, Solflare or Backpack with some SOL, open the pump.fun link on the token page and check that the address matches 9f6FCZrFw1EM6dT451pGWcbMDpckdxRivLqrT954pump. Only trust the address shown on this site and on the official X account.
Which network is Noku on?
Solana mainnet. The site reads live Solana data (SOL price, slot, transactions per second) and, after launch, the $NOKU mint. It never sends a transaction on your behalf; the only thing a wallet signs is a plain message when you post a score or save a player card.
Do I need a wallet to play?
No. Every round can be played as a guest. A wallet is only needed to post a score to a board, to have a room score count on that room's board, or to save a player card.
Can scores be faked?
A posted score must come from a round ticket the server issued to your wallet, must replay move by move to the same result, and must have taken at least the full 45 seconds. That stops edited scores and replayed tickets. It is a plausibility check, not proof against every automated player, and there is nothing to win either way.
What are the risks?
$NOKU is a meme utility token with no promised value or return; its price can fall to zero. The game code has not had an independent security review yet. Never share a seed phrase: Noku will never ask for one.
